Be calmly confident

Strike the right balance of simplicity and distinction: businesslike, but with a unique touch. A bold tie or shirt worn with an understated suit can be very effective. 

The suit

Dark greys and blues are good choices: they work well with classic or contemporary cuts. Above all, be comfortable.

The shirt

Long sleeves are best, double cuffs even better. Make sure it complements your suit and tie: if in doubt, go for white.

The tie

A splash of colour or striking pattern can make a memorable impact. Don't overdo it though - remember, balance is key.
