Nope - you need to set the ball rolling as early as possible if you want to get to the church on time. Our checklist of essential tasks will help you plan ahead.

3 months to go:

    By now you should be ready to choose your wedding outfit. Make a day of it with all your ushers and male relatives.

    Send out your invitations.

    Keep on top of acceptances and refusals.

    Buy your thank-you presents.

    Pick out presents for your best man, mothers, ushers and bridesmaids.

    Book the wedding rehearsal.

    It usually takes place a few days before the wedding and all the key players need to be there.

2 months to go:

    Lay out a reception seating plan.

    This is your chance to play cupid with (or wind up) your single friends.

    Order your honeymoon currency.

    Shop around for the best exchange rate.

    Do a final head count.

    Confirm the number of guests with your caterers and let them know if anyone has special dietary needs.

    Confirm all your bookings.

    A final check could save a lot of heartache on the day.

1 month to go:

    Collect it approximately two days before the wedding and make sure everything fits.
