Fabric Care Guide

Wool

Let your wool breathe between wears by laying it flat in a way that allows air to pass through the fibres. Draping it across the bars of a drying rack will do the job, but don't hang it in half. Spot clean minor stains and use a steamer to eliminate odours.

While some washing machines have a wool setting, we'd always recommend washing by hand, especially if you're dealing with cashmere.

When it comes to storage, avoid hangers - the weight of the yarn will cause the wool fibres to stretch.

Merino wool

Merino wool is naturally breathable and odour resistant, so requires less washing. When the time does come, stick to the 30 degree setting on your machine. Better yet, hand wash.

Our merino garments are blended with acrylic for greater strength and durability. Even so, avoid putting them in the tumble dryer - it's better to lay merino flat to dry, as hanging can cause the wool fibres to stretch.

Cashmere

Air out your cashmere after each wear. If it does not need a clean, it's best to hand wash or, best yet, steam.

Cashmere pieces should be folded for storge, not draped on a hager.
