How to choose a wedding suit

Choosing the right suit depends on your role on the big day.

• For the Groom: Your wedding suit should stand out. Consider a three-piece suit for a sharp, formal profile, or choose a unique colour, cloth or pattern that sets you apart from the groomsmen. Our wedding suits for the groom are designed to make a memorable impression.

• For Groomsmen: The goal for the groomsmen's suits is to create a cohesive look. Often this means wearing the same suit as the groom, but perhaps as a two-piece, or in a complementary colour. Coordination is key.

• For Guests: Your first step is to check the dress code. The ideal wedding guest suit is one that's appropriate for the setting but won't upstage the main party. A versatile navy or grey suit is almost always a great choice.

When should you wear a morning suit?

A morning suit is the pinnacle of traditional wedding formalwear. You should wear a morning suit for a wedding when the dress code is very formal and the ceremony takes place during the day. Morning suit weddings are statements of classic elegance. The outfit consists of a tailcoat, a waistcoat (often in a contrasting colour like grey or buff), and a pair of formal striped trousers. It's a timeless choice for a grand, traditional celebration, and our experts can help you get every detail right.

How far in advance should you get your wedding suit?

If you're the one getting married, we suggest you start thinking about your wedding suit around six to nine months before the date. We recommend placing your order at least three to four months ahead of the big day. This provides plenty of time to make any alterations, perfectly match your accessories, and make sure the entire wedding party is sorted. It's one less thing to worry about, so you can focus on the celebration.
